In the small village of Bartlett, located on the eastern edge of the Nebraska Sandhills, lies one of the country's largest bronze sculpture gardens. With a population of approximately 100 residents, Bartlett boasts the highest number of bronze sculptures per capita in the world.The garden began with a single monument donated by renowned sculptor and native son of Bartlett, Herb Mignery, along with his wife, Sherry.
Today, the garden proudly displays 50-plus bronze works. Despite residing in Colorado for many years, Mignery's ties to his hometown remain strong. The award-winning artist has never forgotten his early days growing up in Bartlett, roping cattle and working on the family ranch. After a recent homecoming, it’s also clear, Bartlett has never forgotten him.
