Plein Air Poet

Like an artist painting in a park, Britny Cordera is a plein air poet… taking in her surroundings as inspiration for her poetry. On weekends, she can be found in Omaha's Old Market typing on her 1904 Corona portable typewriter next to her handwritten sign, “Pick a topic, get a poem" - and then writes a poem on request. The UNO graduate and published poet aspires to bring catharsis to all who seek it in the form of a poem.

Enjoy a poem Britny wrote just for Nebraska Stories called, "The Nature of Stories".
